Nature park Biokovo dominating Makarska Riviera is a great destination for hikers. Mount Biokovo looms over Makarska as a paradise for those seeking unbeaten trails. This elongated massif which stretches 36km along the coast and reaches inland for about 9km. Then it descends to the coast in craggy, limestone rocks and sheer cliffs.
Biokovo is the second largest mountain in Croatia with its highest peak St Jure at 1762 m. The park has many hiking trails and offers hikes for all levels.
